Catpaw – diary of an angry cat

I saw something downtown yesterday that I’m still muttering about. Take a look at the photo to the right. You’ll have to enlarge the photo by clicking on it. Check out the spelling. American is mispelt.

I understand all about typos and misplaced words. We all slip up. But this is hanging in a bookstore. Its been there for awhile and not one clerk has picked up on the typo. I was going to tell them but just sighed and shook my head.

Maybe I’m foolish in my hopes that a certain level of literacy could be found in a bookstore. Just call me an optimist.
