Spring has spring

Ah spring has spring at long last. After an epic struggle with the bitter cold and snow, the past few days of blissful sun and warmth seemed like heaven. It was so warm, only a light jacket was needed! Sidewalk cages are open and all seemed right with the world. I’m still amazed at the number of turtlenecks, fur-lined boots and winter coats that were still in use. I periodically felt on the verge of heatstroke just looking at the grossly over dressed. Here’s a hint: if the temp climbs to 20 celcius it’s a pretty safe bet you don’t need Ugg boots … Well in my obnoxious opinion, Ugg boots should never be sen, along with crocs….

It’s a chilly very wet day today. I like days like this. Best spent sitting in a cafe sipping mattes and blogging. The rain is coming down hard. Which brings a haiku to mind

It is spring
The warmth makes cats happy
I feel better

The water flows
My fur is soaked with unhappiness
I seek warmth

The rain falls
Crocuses spring in clusters
They cheer us

The bus shelter
I wait for my connection
It will not arrive

The bus shelter
It let’s the weather through
I despair of getting home

Yea … I’ll never be published but they are fun to write when you are standing in a bus shelter waiting for a bus that never seems to arrive.
