To my mind, avast has the most user-friendly interface out of all free antivirus programs I know of, and its updates come absolutely silent. Some PC users insist that it has a poor detection rate, but AV comparatives lists avast! over Norton, so there must be a sound reason behind that. Since version 4.8 avast! claims to have anti-spyware protection included as well. I personally know a home user who switched from ESET (paid) to avast! (free), and not because NOD's subscription expired.

Hey Catpaw,
Wonder if you could advise please?
Ive recently volunteered (yes, i did, i did) to revamp and maintain a website for our town's xmas lights committee.
The old site was done in dreamweaver, and because (my) life is too short to start learning SOmany new tricks, i opted to go with the instnat site builder tool provided by the hoster - www.123-reg.co.uk
The question is - i'm using one of their templates and had hoped to change their header for our own logo (designed by self), but now i read in the small print that the header cannot be changed.
What i want to kow is - can it be changed???
Is there some skulduggery that i can apply to fiddle with that could replace their own rather less personal header with our own lovely header??
Or should i have learnt dreamweaver?
ERK!
any suggestions?
Its enough to make anyone a bit grumpy!
Cheers,
Bimm

I am not sure what the laws are here in Toronto. But I suspect Netgear is one of the many computer illiterates out there.

Good comments, both of you.
